Hi everyone – the next and continuing photo class will be starting Feb 6th, that’s just 2 wks away. Love to have you back to continue the learning and exploration of photography.

If you know of others who may be interested, have them email …aep@attleboroschools.com or call 222-5150 and ext.370.. New DSLR users are welcome while I will also encourage more advanced users to join – I will push you to new ‘heights’!

The advertisement was in Monday’s Chronicle, on page 2 of Section B. the class is scheduled for Monday evenings, but that may be changed base on those interested in signing up. Please email if you cannot attend on Monday evenings.

I’ve had a nice week off during Christmas Week as my ‘day job’ did not shut down during the summer, as usual. I’ve sorting paperwork from the photo biz…and making some progress!
Ran a 6 wk photo class for beginners through Attleboro High School in November. There will be a continuation of that class starting in February. Contact Donna Cameron at: dcameron@attleboroschools.com to sign up.
Had opportunity to photograph a friends dog during some canine agility exercises, and then a few portraits. A short slideshow is attached.Hans – At his best!

SEHA & CCH Awards Banquet

The end of the summer horse show season was marked by the annual fall banquet for the SEHA and CCH groups. It was held at the Monponsett Inn on Rt 58 in Halifax, MA….Yes, there is a Halifax in MA as well as Nova Scotia!

As usual I get near the end of August and I have that ‘sentiment’! Kids are getting ready to return to school ( college actually), and my wife will be returning to her teaching job. For me….same old…my day job and weekends photographing.

Last weekend I photograph horse shows at Rozena’s Field in Middleboro for the CApe Cod Hunter folks on Saturday. All those images were finally uploaded last evening! Sunday took me to the RIHA show at Phoenix Rising farm in N. Smithfield, RI. I will be working on those photos tonight and get them uploaded as quickly as possible.

This Sunday is the BCHA Breed Show at Hobbie Horse Farm in Rehoboth, MA. Nice shooting there with a wide open field, trees in the background, ie. no cars, trucks, and other assorted distractions.

Summer Horse Show Season – Saddle Up!!

I just finished uploading photos from the recent RIHA horse show held at the Heritage Equestrian Center in E. Greenwich, RI. Warm but mostly cloudy so actually pretty good day for photographing outside.

The RI Air National Guard Air Show was on it’s 2nd day run so it got noisy a few times but did not seem to bother the horses. The power of those jets is just amazing as is the athleticism displayed by horses jumping ‘fences’.

Seems that I have worn out another camera motor drive. My D300 won’t shoot more than 3-4 frames per sec. Should shoot up to 7! So, off to Midstate Camera in Warwick, RI who will be sending it to Nikon I learned today! Evidently a few hundred for an overhaul! That’s one we pro photogs can’t take lots of great photos and then give them away!

I shot a couple of Norfolk Hunter Club gatherings this Spring. Some great photos there – some with hounds on the scent of a fox and other just out riding through fields and jumping an occasional fence.

Also, back in May I shot the annual Narragansett Boat Club’s Mayor’s Cup Regatta. a beautiful day on the Seekonk rive in Providence, RI.

Spring Times and Outdoor Hosrse Shows!

The last of the 2011 indoor show galleries are on my website. they include shows at Claddaugh Far n tiverton, RI, Cape Cod Hunter show at Saddle Rowe, Sandy Point in Portsmouth , RI, and the IEA regional finals held at the Volo Farm in MA.
tomorrow, Saturday, I’ll be photogrpahing at SEHA show at Rozena’s in Raynham, MA.

sunday, I may be at Heritage Equestrian Center in East Greenwich, RI for their RIHA show.

Jan.30th Horses in the Snow today

Had great fun shooting a couple of young ladies riding their horses through snow covered fields today in Rehoboth, MA, at Hobby Horse Farm. Sun was out most of the time and trudging through the snow kept me warm! After all it was in the ‘balmy’ 30′s today. Here is an image from the ride – CLICK
